I created a website for the Indigenous Climate Observatories research project as one of my main tasks when interning for Associate Senior Lecturer Lizette Reitsma. The research project is an interdisciplinary research project, which Lizette is a part of. My task was to together with the project’s participants develop and shape a website that showcased the research outcome, gave information about current events that are happening in the project, and enable a two-way-communication for those who are interested in the project to be able to communicate with the project’s participants. The process began with having discussions with the researchers regarding what the intention and purpose of the website was. A main goal was that I should create a website that can be used after my internship has ended. That said, my task was to shape the website based on the requests of the researchers but also facilitate the researchers in taking over the maintenance and shaping of the website after my involvement has ended. I created a website under the Malmö University domain using WordPress. This process involved researching and gaining understanding on how to shape a website for research. My main learnings from this task are collaborating with a team, interpreting the inputs from the researchers, developing my skills in working in WordPress, and practicing my pedagogical skills to be able to hand over the website to the researchers after my internship is finished.
